The Formula Pro Advanced goes a step further than water-only machines: load formula powder into its hopper and it dispenses fully mixed, correctly heated formula directly into the bottle, at whatever volume is selected. That's a genuinely hands-off process compared with Perfect Prep, where you still measure and add powder manually each time.
The trade-off is the hopper itself, which needs regular cleaning to avoid powder clumping or bacterial build-up, and a higher price point than water-only machines. For a household making up a lot of bottles a day, the extra automation can be worth it; for occasional formula top-ups alongside breastfeeding, it may be more machine than needed.
