UPPSTÅ Toddler Walker

7.1/10 overall

£30.00

A push-along walker with an adjustable handle that supports first steps and grows in confidence alongside your toddler.

Reviewed by SepehrNot yet hands-on tested — based on research & published specs

This is a simple push-along walker - a sturdy frame with an adjustable-height handle that a wobbly early walker can lean on for genuine support, rather than the flimsier, more tippy feel of some cheaper walkers. The adjustable handle means it isn't a product you'll outgrow within weeks; it can be raised as your toddler gets taller and more confident, extending its useful life by a few months compared with a fixed-height design. It's a simple wood-and-plastic construction rather than anything electronic or musical, which some parents prefer - less noise, nothing to charge, nothing to break.

It sits alongside the Safety 1st gate in the Baby-Proofing & Mobility category, but the two solve completely different problems - this is about actively supporting movement and confidence in first steps, not about restricting or containing where your toddler can go. Don't buy this expecting any babyproofing benefit; it has none.

A good, affordable pick for a toddler who's pulling up to stand and starting to cruise along furniture, giving them a mobile, sturdier alternative to holding onto sofas and coffee tables. Less useful once your toddler is confidently walking unassisted, at which point it tends to become underused floor clutter.

It's genuinely just a walking aid and offers no containment or safety function, so don't mistake the category placement for it having any babyproofing role. It also takes up a reasonable amount of floor space when not in use and isn't designed to fold flat for storage, which is worth factoring in if you're tight on room. Assembly is flatpack, which is quick, but you will need to put it together yourself out of the box, and the fixed wheels roll more easily on hard flooring than on thick carpet, where they can feel a little sluggish.
