Bravado Designs
Reusable Nursing Pads (2 Pack)
7.1/10 overall£15.00
Washable, contoured breast pads with a leak-resistant backing that hold their shape better than flat disposable pads and pay for themselves within a couple of months.
Bravado's pads use a three-layer construction — a soft wicking layer against the skin, an absorbent middle, and a leak-resistant (not fully waterproof) outer layer — shaped with a slight contour so they sit inside a bra cup rather than bunching up flat. Because they're washable, the ongoing cost is just laundry, which makes them considerably cheaper over several months of feeding than working through boxes of disposables.
Compared with a disposable option like Johnson's breast pads, the honest comparison is convenience versus cost: disposables are thinner, need zero washing, and are easier to change discreetly when out and about, but they add up in cost and waste over a full breastfeeding journey and can feel crinkly under a tight top. Reusable pads need at least two sets in rotation so a clean pair is always ready, and they take longer to fully dry than a wash-and-wear top, which trips some people up in the first week when laundry is already relentless.
They suit anyone breastfeeding for more than a few weeks who wants to cut ongoing cost and landfill waste, and who doesn't mind an extra load of washing. The main limitation is capacity in the first fortnight of heavy, unpredictable letdown — during that window many people still keep a box of disposables on hand as backup, especially overnight.

Higher upfront cost but cheaper than disposables across months of use.
Ease of Use
How simple the product is to apply, wear, wash, fill or fit one-handed with a baby in the other arm.
Needs washing and rotation, unlike grab-and-go disposables.
