Bugaboo
Donkey 5 Twin
6.1/10 overall£2,100.00
Bugaboo's dedicated twin pushchair, ready for two newborns from day one with two bassinets included as standard.
The Donkey 5 Twin is Bugaboo's purpose-built twin pushchair rather than a single pushchair adapted into a double: it comes complete with two bassinets and two seats in the box, so twins can ride lying flat side by side from the day they come home, then transition to upright seats as they grow. At 74cm wide it's a side-by-side design like the Out n About Nipper Double, giving both children the same forward-facing, side-by-side view, but the Donkey trades the Nipper's all-terrain tyres and suspension for smoother, quieter town wheels better suited to pavements than gravel paths.
The Donkey 5's standout feature versus the iCandy Peach 7 Double is that it's genuinely designed around two children from the outset rather than converting a single into a double — if you know you're having twins, or want two children to have identical seats and identical views, that matters more than the Peach's narrower fold. Against the Peach it also has a distinctive one-piece self-standing fold, useful for storage in a hallway rather than needing to fit fully flat in a boot.
Build quality and ride comfort are excellent, and the two-bassinet-from-birth setup is genuinely rare among two-seat pushchairs at this width — most rivals sell carrycots as costly extras. It's best for parents of twins who want a pushchair engineered specifically for that job rather than adapted for it. The one real limitation is width: at 74cm, the Donkey 5 Twin is the widest buggy in this list and the one most likely to need measuring against your own front door, garden gate, or lift before you commit.
What we liked
- Two bassinets included as standard, ready for twins from birth
- Both children ride side by side at the same eye level, forward-facing
- Self-standing one-piece fold is easy to store without extra floor space
Where it falls short
- Widest buggy in this comparison at 74cm — check doorways and gates carefully
- Very high price puts it out of reach for many budgets
- Wheels and ride are tuned for pavements, not off-road use

How we scored it
Manoeuvrability & Width
How easily the buggy handles kerbs, shop aisles and standard UK doorways, and how manageable it is for one adult to push and steer one-handed.
Widest option here at 74cm, so the least forgiving for narrow UK doorways.
From-Birth Versatility
How well the buggy adapts across an age gap between siblings or twins — carrycot/car seat compatibility from newborn, seat configurations, and how long it stays useful as children grow.
Two bassinets included from the box makes it the strongest true twin-from-birth setup on this list.
Value for Money
What you get for the price versus rivals in this list — build quality, included accessories, and resale value weighed against RRP.
Excellent engineering but the highest price by a wide margin.
Weighted by importance for this category — see our editorial policy for how we test.
