The Next2Me Forever is Chicco's long-life answer to the bedside crib: it starts attached to your bed for co-sleeping, then unclips to become a free-standing cot with bars, and finally drops down into a low floor bed for toddlers. Eleven height positions and a tilt function cover almost any bed and any reflux need, and the mattress, wheels and washable cover are all included in the price.
Against the SnuzPod4 and Silver Cross Lunar in this list, the trade-off is obvious: those two are cheaper, lighter, and built specifically for the first six months, while the Next2Me Forever costs roughly double but is designed to still be in the room three or four years later. If you only need bedside sleeping for a few months and plan to move straight to a normal cot, you're paying for years of use you may not want.
It's best for parents who want to buy once and not think about a cot again — the same crib does bedside duty, then bedroom cot, then a first "big kid" bed, which can genuinely work out cheaper than buying three separate products over four years. It also suits smaller bedrooms less well: at 121cm long once assembled, it's the biggest product in this list by some margin, and the size doesn't shrink much even in its later cot configuration.
The real limitation is bulk and weight: with wheels, a full cot frame and hardware built in from day one, it's noticeably heavier and harder to reposition night-to-night than a Moses basket or a simpler crib like the Shnuggle Air Lite, so it suits a settled nursery layout more than a flexible one.
