Ocarro 2 Pushchair

The Ocarro 2 is Mamas & Papas' refresh of the original Ocarro, keeping the same large-wheeled, 4-point-suspension chassis but with updated wheels and brakes aimed at handling cobbles, gravel and grass more smoothly. Like the egg3, it's sold as a pushchair on its own; a carrycot and compatible infant car seat (with adaptors or an ISOFIX base) are separate purchases if you want to use it from birth.

Compared with the other pushchairs in this category, the Ocarro 2 sits closest to the Fox 5 and Peach 7 in ambition and finish, but it's noticeably heavier at 13.9kg versus the Peach 7's roughly comparable weight and the Litetrax 3's much lighter frame — this is not a pushchair built for narrow terraced hallways or frequent lifting into a small boot. Its car seat compatibility is broader than the egg3's, though: Mamas & Papas sell bundle packages with the Cybex Cloud T and Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix i-Size, plus their own Aton-based options, giving buyers more off-the-shelf combinations to choose from without hunting for third-party adaptors.

This suits parents prioritising ride comfort and all-terrain capability over compactness or lightness, particularly if they already know which car seat brand they want and can check the compatible bundle list before buying. The suspension and wheel size are the standout feature versus the leaner, more urban-focused Litetrax 3.

The honest downsides: at £849 for the pushchair alone, it costs more than the Reef 2 and Litetrax 3, and a full travel system bundle with a car seat and ISOFIX base can push well past £1,500 depending on the seat chosen. The folded footprint (H40 x W59 x D78cm) is also larger than most rivals, so boot space and storage are worth checking before buying.
