The Welcome to the World is a classic Moses basket: a hand-woven natural palm shell with a cotton lining and a fitted sheet included, designed to be carried between rooms and set down on the floor, a sofa, or a separate stand (sold apart from the basket). It has no bed-frame attachment at all, which puts it in a genuinely different category from the SnuzPod4, Lunar or Air Lite — it's a portable sleeping basket, not a co-sleeping device that clips level with your mattress.
Compared with those three bedside cribs, the Moses basket is roughly half the price of the cheapest of them and far lighter to carry around the house, but it sacrifices the core bedside-crib benefit: baby doesn't sleep at arm's-reach height next to your bed unless you put the basket on a bedside table or specific stand, and many parents find it less stable for true bedside proximity than a strapped-in crib. It also needs a separate mattress-free liner already included, but a stand costs extra on top of the £99 basket price.
It's best for families who want a light, portable basket for daytime naps and downstairs sleeping in the first weeks, often bought alongside — rather than instead of — a bedside crib, or for parents who are confident placing it directly on their own bed frame or a sturdy stand rather than needing a built-in bed-attachment mechanism.
The limitation is proximity and stability: without a clip-on mechanism, getting the basket safely at the same height as an adult mattress relies entirely on a separately-bought stand or careful placement, so it doesn't deliver true side-by-side co-sleeping in the way a dedicated bedside crib does.
