The Air Lite is Shnuggle's stripped-back bedside crib: a compact wood-framed bassinet with dual mesh side panels, six height settings, and a hypoallergenic "airflow" mattress the brand claims is 50% more breathable than standard foam. At 83cm long, it's noticeably smaller than the SnuzPod4 or Silver Cross Lunar, which matters in a tight bedroom or a flat with limited floor space.

Against the SnuzPod4 and Lunar, the Air Lite is the cheapest of the three dedicated bedside cribs here and the smallest footprint, but it also has fewer height positions (6 versus 7) and a slightly lower maximum bed-height fit (70cm versus 73cm), so it's worth measuring your bed before buying. It shares the same 9kg/6-month practical lifespan as the SnuzPod4 and Lunar.

It's best for parents in smaller bedrooms, or anyone prioritising a lighter, easier-to-reposition crib over maximum adjustability — at under half the price of the Next2Me Forever, it's also the easiest entry point into a proper bedside crib rather than a basic Moses basket.

The limitation is fit range: its maximum compatible bed height (70cm) is lower than most rivals, so very high divan or ottoman beds may not work with it, and buyers should check their own bed height before ordering.

What we liked

  • Smallest, lightest bedside crib in this list, easier to reposition nightly
  • Airflow mattress included and marketed as notably more breathable than standard foam
  • Cheapest of the three dedicated bedside cribs here

Where it falls short

  • Lower maximum bed-height fit (70cm) than the SnuzPod4 or Lunar
  • Fewer height settings (6) than most rivals
  • Same short 9kg/6-month usable window as other bedside-only cribs

How we scored it

Co-Sleeping Safety & Proximity

How securely and safely the crib or basket attaches or sits at bed height, keeping baby within arm's reach for night feeds while meeting current BS EN safety standards.

8/10

Solid bed-frame strapping and mesh side, tested to BS EN 1130:2019, but lower max bed-height limits which beds it suits.

Height & Fit Adjustability

How easily the product adjusts to match different bed heights and mattress depths, and how long it stays useful as baby grows.

6/10

6 height settings and a 70cm ceiling on adult mattress height is the least flexible fit range here.

Value for Money

What you get for the price, including what's included in the box versus sold as extras, and expected lifespan of use.
